Nestled in the heart of the Lexicon Centre, we are the spot for bubble-popping, buzzing Christmas parties.
We are proud to serve the best of British seasonal dishes, using prime, fresh ingredients.
Over the festive period, Head Chef Ian and his team are cooking up the best of British seasonal menus you know and love (all with a festive twist). From the bar, a friendly face will be pouring crisp pints, bottled beers (on ice) and our winter cocktails.
With our spacious conservatory to host larger party sit-down meals, plus our quaint cowshed, upper and lower snugs on offer for private events, including corporate parties (grab the company card). Whatever you’re looking for, we’re confident we can add sparkle to your special event.

Perfect for those informal drinks party, nibbles with friends or something different to a sit down meal. Our range of sharers designed with the festive season in mind are sure to have something for everyone
Looking for someone to take the pressure of Christmas lunch off your hands? Look no further. Our fantastic Christmas Day menu has everything to keep the whole family well fed and happy.
From a three-course feast to a weekend away, or simply a quiet couple of pints in their favourite local, treat someone special and give the gift of the pub this Christmas.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without warming your hands on a fresh glass of mulled wine, perhaps next to our open fireplace. This year, we’ll be serving a range of seasonal sips, from hot drinks to winter cocktails.
Out with old and in with the new. Whatever your resolution is this New Year – start it off as you mean to go on – in the pub, of course! We’ve got some cracking events lined up to see 2027 in with a bang.
Whilst we don’t have rooms, a 25-minute taxi (or 30-minute train) will transport you to cosy, comforting bedrooms in our sister-pub with rooms, Market House in Reading town centre. Choose from a (large) selection of twenty-three rooms to relax and re-con from the night before.
